Dow and Univar Solutions Expand Low-Carbon Product Distribution Agreement
Dow and Univar Solutions have entered into a long-term agreement to distribute Dow’s Decarbia™ low-carbon products with Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certificates across multiple end markets.
According to the companies, the agreement is intended to expand customer access to low-carbon products through Univar Solutions’ global distribution network. The products will serve markets including beauty and personal care, home care, food, pharmaceuticals, and industrial performance applications.
Dow stated that the carbon footprints for the products are calculated using its Carbon Footprint Ledger (CFL) methodology, which the company said is limited assured under international PCF standards including ISO 14067 and the GHG Protocol Product Standard.
Brendy Lange, President of Performance Materials & Coatings at Dow, said the agreement reflects the companies’ shared focus on value chain decarbonization and broader access to low-carbon product options supported by verifiable PCF data.
David Jukes, President and Chief Executive Officer of Univar Solutions, said the partnership is intended to broaden access to lower-carbon alternatives and support customers seeking Scope 3 emissions reductions through supply chain decisions.
The companies said the agreement builds on their existing relationship and is part of broader investments in sustainable product offerings and capabilities.
