H.B. Fuller Names Winners of 2026 Customer Innovation Award

Adhesives, Industry News, Sealants,

H.B. Fuller has named Bin Dasmal General Trading Co. and Huhtamaki as recipients of its 2026 Customer Innovation Award, recognizing projects that delivered measurable advances in sustainability, safety, performance, or operational efficiency.

The annual awards evaluate customer innovations based on technical achievement, market impact, successful collaboration, and the ability to solve real-world challenges using materials science and engineering.

Bin Dasmal General Trading Co. was recognized for developing a prefabricated HVAC insulation system for hot, humid environments. Working with H.B. Fuller, the company incorporated Foster® NeoClad™ protective vapor barrier jacketing into an offsite prefabrication process intended to improve condensation and corrosion protection while reducing installation time and supporting longer system service life.

Huhtamaki was recognized for ProDairy, a recyclable paper-based dairy cup designed to reduce polyethylene content while maintaining moisture protection for chilled products. The company worked with H.B. Fuller to use a high-performance varnish that eliminates the need for an external polyethylene layer while providing moisture and abrasion resistance.

According to H.B. Fuller, the commercially scalable packaging solution is intended to reduce plastic use and improve recyclability without compromising performance.

The two projects demonstrate how adhesive, coating, and barrier technologies can be integrated into end-use systems to address installation efficiency, durability, and sustainability objectives across different industries.
