In this newly established role, you'll be responsible for leading a collaborative effort building and executing the company’s global Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs program, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and international regulations while enabling business growth, innovation, and risk reduction.
You'll serve as the company’s expert in product regulatory compliance, product safety, hazard communication, and customer regulatory support, and will partner with cross functional teams to stand up the Minimum Viable Program (MVP) outlined in the strategic plan and establish the governance, systems, and processes required to protect market access, reduce liability, and support commercial growth.
What You'll do - Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Leadership

- Develop and maintain regulatory compliance programs for products sold in domestic and international markets with the Matrix team
- Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory requirements and assess business impact
- Lead regulatory compliance activities associated with:
- TSCA | REACH |CLP/GHS | OSHA Hazard Communication Standard | Proposition 65
- State chemical reporting requirements
- Manage product registrations, notifications, and submissions as required as well as build and maintain the Matrix Global Chemical
- Inventory Compliance Program.
- Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and external consultants.
- Implement regulatory sign‑off for all new raw materials and formulations.
- Implement the Supplier Regulatory Requirements program, including mandatory declarations for TSCA, REACH, Prop 65, GADSL, food
- contact, and restricted substances.
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository for supplier compliance documents.
- Lead the Supplier Change Notification (SCN) process.

- In collaboration with Matrix leadership, implement and maintain the company's Product Stewardship Program and Roadmap
- Conduct product risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle.
- Evaluate raw materials and finished products for regulatory and sustainability impacts.
- Ensure product safety and environmental compliance from development through end-of-life.
- Support sustainable chemistry and product sustainability initiatives.
- In collaboration with Matrix leadership, implement and maintain the company's Product Stewardship Program and Roadmap

- Oversee creation, maintenance, and accuracy of GHS‑compliant SDSs and product labels across all markets.
- Implement and manage SDS authoring software.
- Establish a controlled SDS library with versioning, distribution logs, and a 5‑year review cycle.
- Ensure alignment between SDS, TDS, VOC declarations, and product claims.
Business & Customer Support

- Provide regulatory guidance to commercial, marketing, and customer service teams.
- Support new product development by identifying regulatory requirements early in the development process.
- Respond to customer regulatory inquiries, audits, and compliance questionnaires.
- Assist with due diligence activities related to acquisitions, partnerships, and new markets.
- Build and manage a 10‑day SLA for regulatory customer requests (VOC certificates, LEED declarations, IMDS submissions, compliance letters).
- Create a structured intake process for all customer documentation requests.
- Support OEM qualification packages (UL, NSF, FDA, MIL‑SPEC, ASTM).
Leadership & Program Management

- Collaborate with Matrix cross-functional team to develop regulatory policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Lead internal compliance audits and corrective action initiatives as needed.
- Manage external consultants and testing laboratories as needed.
- Prepare and present regulatory status reports to senior leadership.
- Manage and mentor regulatory affairs and product stewardship personnel as applicable.
Digital Infrastructure & Systems

- Stand up digital suite of Regulatory Software in collaboration with team.
- Implement and maintain regulatory database (SharePoint/Excel) as needed
- Drive any necessary change control workflow (Power Automate, Jira, or equivalent)
- Partner with IT to ensure data integrity, version control, and audit readiness.
Qualifications
-
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, or chemical compliance
- Deep knowledge of TSCA, REACH, DSL/NDSL, GHS, VOC regulations, and global chemical inventories.
- Proven ability to build programs from the ground up and lead cross‑functional governance.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to interface with customers, regulators, and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams.
- Experience supporting cross-functional business teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Candidates will have the following qualifications:

- Master's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Certified Product Steward (CPS)
- REACH Specialist
- Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC)
- Experience within adhesives, sealants, coatings, polymers, or specialty chemicals.
- Global regulatory compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of automotive OEM requirements (IMDS, GADSL) and construction market compliance (VOC, LEED)
- Experience implementing SDS authoring systems and regulatory databases

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Chemist to support our Quality Control and chemical manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for finished product testing and release, troubleshooting and adjusting off-specification batches, laboratory equipment calibration, new product scale-up, and providing technical support to production. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical chemistry background, practical experience in a manufacturing or QC laboratory, and is comfortable working directly with production personnel to solve problems and ensure products meet established quality and safety requirements. This position works closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Operations.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Perform the following QC tests on finished products, enter test results into database, and generate C of As.
- Specific Gravity, Turbidity, % water, Brookfield Viscosity, Zahn Cup Viscosity,
- Refractive Index, % NVM, Gardner Color, Acid/Base Titrations
- Evaluate test results against specifications and ensure timely release or disposition of finished goods.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting off-spec finished products and perform batch adjustments in a timely manner.
- Develop rework scheme for off-spec and expired finished products.
- Perform calibrations and maintain calibration records of all QC lab equipment.
- Prepare lab samples and establish manufacturing and safety instructions for new products.
- Identify procedures that need to be updated and updates them with support as needed.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformance, root cause analysis, and effectiveness verification.
- Supervise scale-up of all new production batches.
- Ensure strict compliance with ISO and company Environmental Health and Safety (EH & S) policies.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to production personnel.
- Support daily production activities and coach chemical operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Test and neutralize wash water generated in manufacturing, enter data into log sheet and apply appropriate labels to containers for disposal.
- Provide technical support to customers and Catalynt sales staff.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum B.S. Chemistry
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience within a QC
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Lab Technician to support our Quality Control and manufacturing operations. This position offers flexibility for either part-time or full-time employment, approximately 20–40 hours per week, depending on the candidate’s availability and experience. The ideal candidate has at least one year of quality control or laboratory experience, is comfortable working with chemicals and basic laboratory equipment, and can work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Chemist and Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Follow written test methods, SOPs, and safety procedures
- Proper chemical handling, PPE, and basic SDS knowledge
- Sample collection, preparation, weighing, and measurement
- Perform routine QC testing and accurately document results
- Basic equipment calibration and verification
- Recognize and report unusual or out-of-specification results
- Maintain clean and organized laboratory equipment and work areas
