DAP Expands Dynaflex Sealant Line with New Latex Formulation

Adhesives, Industry News, Sealants,

DAP has expanded its Dynaflex® sealant portfolio with the introduction of Dynaflex Ultimate, a latex sealant developed for residential and commercial sealing applications.

According to DAP, the new product is designed for use in window, door, siding, and trim applications and is available in both white and clear formulations. The company stated that the white version meets ASTM C920 Class 50 performance requirements, while the clear version meets Class 35.

DAP reported that the sealant was formulated for application in lower-temperature conditions, with the white formula suitable for use down to 20 °F and the clear formula down to 30 °F. The company also stated that the product bonds to wet surfaces, which may support use in damp or variable jobsite conditions.

Megan Youngs, Director of Product Management at DAP, said cold-weather productivity remains a significant challenge for contractors and noted that the new sealant was developed to support work in lower temperatures across a broader seasonal window.

According to the company, the white formula is paint- and rain-ready in 30 minutes, while the clear version is ready in 1 hour. DAP also stated that the sealant offers shrink resistance, water cleanup, and resistance to mold, mildew, and algae over its service life.

The company reported that Dynaflex Ultimate adheres to substrates including wood, vinyl, fiber cement, aluminum, and composites and is available through home improvement and hardware retail channels across North America.
