Bostik Introduces OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive to U.S. Market

Bostik, Inc., a member of the Arkema Group, has introduced OB1® Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive to the U.S. market. The product has previously been commercialized in the United Kingdom and Europe, where the company reports established market adoption.

According to Bostik, OB1 is positioned as a universal sealant and adhesive intended to support a range of bonding and sealing applications across construction and repair environments. The company stated that the product is designed to reduce the need for multiple sealants and adhesives by consolidating applications into a single formulation.

“OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive has transformed the market in the UK by giving contractors and homeowners one adhesive that does it all,” said Andrew Bondarev, Market Manager – Sealants for Bostik. He added that the company sees similar demand in the U.S. market for products that support simplified installation workflows.

Bostik reports that OB1 is engineered for use across a variety of substrates, including metals, wood, glass, plastics, and ceramics, and can be applied in both wet and dry conditions.
