Big Dog Adhesives Introduces RELOAD Reusable Adhesive Dispensing Platform

Adhesives, Industry News, Sealants,

Big Dog Adhesives has announced the launch of RELOAD™, a patent-pending reusable adhesive dispensing system designed to support the delivery and performance of the company’s two-component structural adhesives. The system is scheduled to debut at the TISE Show in Las Vegas, January 26–29, 2026.

According to Big Dog Adhesives, RELOAD was developed to address both performance consistency and sustainability considerations associated with traditional single-use adhesive cartridges. The company reports that the system is capable of reducing cartridge packaging waste by up to 99%, while also supporting improved metering accuracy and protecting adhesive formulations from environmental exposure.

Unlike conventional cartridge-based systems, RELOAD was engineered by Big Dog Adhesives around its existing formulation portfolio, rather than adapting formulations to off-the-shelf packaging formats. The company stated that the delivery platform was designed with attention to chemical stability, ratio accuracy, polymerization behavior, and cure performance.

“The adhesive comes first,” said Lou Giovannini, founder of Big Dog Adhesives. “RELOAD was engineered to preserve the integrity of our chemistries throughout the dispensing process, with the reusable housing serving as the delivery vessel rather than defining the adhesive.”

Big Dog Adhesives reports that RELOAD is compatible with its structural adhesive portfolio, including formulations engineered for tensile and shear strength, substrate versatility, controlled exotherm, and UV stability. According to the company, the system uses foil packaging to isolate materials from oxygen and moisture, which may help maintain stability and extend shelf life.

The company also noted that the RELOAD system is designed to integrate with existing manual and pneumatic dispensing tools and standard static mixer tips, without requiring new equipment.

Pre-orders for RELOAD assemblies and compatible adhesive foils are scheduled to begin January 26, 2026, with full production expected in the second quarter of 2026.
