RPM International has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Volteco S.p.A., an Italy-based supplier of below-grade waterproofing systems, for its Tremco Construction Products Group.

According to RPM, the acquisition adds a differentiated waterproofing technology platform to Tremco CPG and expands its portfolio of solutions for protecting below-grade structures and other demanding construction applications. Volteco generated €28 million in calendar-year 2025 sales.

Volteco is known for its Amphibia™ waterproofing sheet membrane and also manufactures bagged powder products for patching and repair, flexible liquids, mortars, resins, and damp-proofing materials.

The company’s technologies have been used in projects ranging from historic structures in Venice to transportation infrastructure and large commercial facilities, including the Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milan.

“Volteco is an excellent complement to the product lines of our Tremco Construction Products Group,” said Frank Sullivan, RPM Chairman and CEO. He said the acquisition will provide Tremco CPG with new technologies that can be leveraged through its global sales organization.

Tremco CPG includes brands and businesses focused on building-envelope, waterproofing, roofing, fire protection, flooring, insulation, and related construction systems across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, and Latin America.

The transaction was expected to close in RPM’s fiscal 2027 second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions. RPM later announced on October 1 that the acquisition had been completed.
