Avery Dennison Launches AD Fusion Program to Expand RFID Adoption Among Label Converters
Avery Dennison has launched AD Fusion, a new program designed to make RFID label production more accessible to label and packaging converters by providing materials with RFID inlays already embedded.
The program is powered by Avery Dennison’s SmartFace™ technology and supplies customizable slit rolls that arrive ready for printing and converting. According to the company, the approach is intended to reduce the capital investment and specialized equipment traditionally required for inlay insertion.
AD Fusion is designed to integrate into existing converting workflows without requiring new machinery or additional operator training. The materials incorporate ultra-thin RFID inlays intended to preserve the appearance and performance characteristics of conventional labels.
Avery Dennison stated that the program is intended to help converters enter the smart label market more easily or expand RFID production across multiple facilities and press platforms.
“AD Fusion represents a major step forward in making RFID more accessible and actionable for converters,” said Abby Monnot, Vice President of Marketing at Avery Dennison. She said the program combines SmartFace technology with a production-ready format intended to accelerate adoption and help converters respond to growing demand for smart labels.
The launch expands Avery Dennison’s digital identification portfolio with a model focused specifically on lowering operational barriers for converters entering RFID production.
