W. R. MEADOWS Marks 100 Years in Construction Materials Industry

W. R. MEADOWS, INC. reached its 100th anniversary on January 26, 2026, marking a century of activity in the construction materials sector. Founded in 1926 with a single product—ASPHALT EXPANSION JOINT, marketed under the Sealtight name—the company has grown into a global manufacturer serving multiple segments of the concrete construction market.

According to W. R. MEADOWS, the company now offers more than 350 products through an authorized distributor network, including expansion joints, construction liquids, joint sealants, and building envelope systems such as vapor barriers, waterproofing membranes, air barriers, and roofing materials. The portfolio also includes specialty technologies intended to protect and extend the service life of concrete structures.

The company reports that it operates nine manufacturing facilities in the United States and three in Canada, supported by distribution partners across North America and international markets. Growth over the years has also included the addition of brands such as HUEBERT FIBERBOARD, BLUE RIDGE FIBERBOARD, ALCOT PLASTICS, GEMITE, and DECK-O-SEAL.

W. R. MEADOWS stated that its Innovation Center at the Hampshire, Illinois headquarters supports research, product development, quality assurance, and training activities for industry partners. The facility includes laboratory capabilities and education space designed to support contractor and distributor engagement.
