Trinseo Opens North America Innovation Center in Exton PA
Trinseo has opened a new North America Innovation Center in Exton, Pennsylvania, expanding the company’s regional research and development footprint. The facility joins Trinseo’s global network of innovation centers located in Germany and the Netherlands.
According to the company, the Exton site is designed to support materials research, application development, and collaboration across Trinseo’s specialty materials portfolio. The facility includes laboratory space, materials compounding capabilities, and flexible work areas intended to accommodate cross-functional project teams.
Trinseo reports that the center will support development activities across multiple end markets, including automotive, electronics, construction, medical, and consumer applications. The company also noted that materials from its own portfolio — including Avonite™ solid surface materials and Plexiglas® PMMA sheets — are incorporated into the facility’s interior design as demonstration applications.
In a company statement, Han Hendriks, Chief Technology and Sustainability Officer at Trinseo, said the new innovation center reflects the company’s continued focus on technology development and customer collaboration in North America.
The opening of the Exton Innovation Center represents an investment in regional R&D infrastructure, reinforcing Trinseo’s presence in the North American specialty materials market.
