W. R. MEADOWS Introduces Rapid-Curing HYDROWRAP PUMA FLASHING

W. R. MEADOWS has introduced HYDROWRAP PUMA FLASHING, a liquid-applied flashing and detailing membrane developed for waterproofing critical transition areas in commercial construction.

Built on PUMA technology, the membrane is designed to cure rapidly and does not require reinforcing fabric, reducing the number of installation steps associated with detailing work. According to W. R. MEADOWS, the product can cure in temperatures as low as 15°F (-10°C) when properly catalyzed and becomes traffic safe in approximately one hour.

HYDROWRAP PUMA FLASHING is intended for deck-to-wall intersections, corners, wall-to-wall transitions, cracks, joints, and penetrations. The company stated that the membrane creates a flexible barrier against water infiltration as well as exposure to chlorides, deicing salts, chemicals, gasoline, oils, and antifreeze.

The product can be applied to concrete, metal, and exterior-grade wood substrates and is supported by a broader system that includes HYDROWRAP UNIVERSAL PRIMER, HYDROWRAP MOISTURE-TOLERANT PRIMER, HYDROWRAP CATALYST, and HYDROWRAP PUMA CLEANER.

“Time spent waiting for detailing materials to cure can slow project progress and delay the next phase of construction,” said Donnie Kruger, Building Envelope Product Manager for W. R. MEADOWS. He said the product was developed to speed detailing work while maintaining durability and long-term waterproofing performance.

HYDROWRAP PUMA FLASHING is also designed for use with the company’s HRM 714 hot-applied rubberized asphalt waterproofing system for applications including plaza decks, green roofs, parking decks, tunnels, and bridge decks.
