UNITED RESINS Group Acquires 50% Stake in FLORPINUS

UNITED RESINS Group has acquired 50% of the share capital of FLORPINUS – Indústria Química, Lda, a company focused on the processing and valorization of rosin derivatives and other forest-based products.

According to UNITED RESINS Group, the transaction is intended to strengthen its position in the forest-based chemicals sector by expanding access to key raw materials and increasing industrial and technological capabilities serving the resins, adhesives, and specialty chemicals markets.

The company stated that the investment supports vertical integration in rosin derivatives and is expected to contribute to development of higher value-added products, broader international market reach, and additional alignment with bioeconomy and sustainability initiatives.

As part of the transaction, António Mendes Ferreira will join the Board of Directors of FLORPINUS. UNITED RESINS Group said his strategic, industrial, and financial experience is expected to support the company’s next phase of growth, innovation, and international expansion.

According to the company, FLORPINUS will continue to operate under its existing identity while benefiting from industrial, commercial, and technological synergies resulting from the partnership.

UNITED RESINS Group stated that the acquisition reflects its broader focus on long-term growth, innovation, and value creation across its markets.
