ASC Announces New Research Study on Building & Construction Leading Trends and Sector Opportunities

Date postedAugust 9, 2024
in Adhesives, ASC Press Releases, Industry News, Sealants,

August 9, 2024 – Alexandria, VA – The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) has recently partnered with Ducker Carlisle to provide ASC Members, and the overall industry, with a new report focused on opportunities and growth potential in the Building & Construction space that examines four (4) key drivers which have accelerated in recent years and are expected to continue into the future.

David White, Senior Vice President at Sika Corporation and industry advocate on the ASC Building & Construction Task Force, states: “Ducker Carlisle has done a great job in providing meaningful, objective and fact-based data to the ASC member companies in the building and construction arena. They have addressed some of the most important topic areas including sustainability, modular construction, fire protection and federal infrastructure spending. The findings from this study will enable member companies to make informed decisions on strategies and budgets to capitalize on trends and opportunities, especially as they relate to adhesive and sealants.”

Bruce Ward, Senior Engagement Manager at Ducker Carlisle, shared that “Our exposure across many building and construction product industries has highlighted the impact that themes related to off-site construction, fire performance, infrastructure investment, and sustainability are having on the needs of installers, applicators, and building owners at their job sites. Our collaboration with ASC enabled us to engage over 70 industry experts (including many members) at all levels of the building and construction value chain to understand how these trends are unfolding and what opportunities are emerging for adhesive and sealant products to address those needs with new and improved solutions that help get the job done.”

“It has been a pleasure working with the folks at Ducker Carlisle, we started brainstorming producing a new “Top Trends” type report for the Building & Construction segment with the team at Ducker Carlisle and our ASC Building & Construction task force back, in early part of this year.  It is nice to have a “true” end-deliverable that our ASC members can utilize as a member benefit and resource, to keep abreast of some of these changes and opportunities for potential growth, and simply awareness”, notes Brian Peters, Director Membership & Industry Programs at ASC.

For more information about the report, and to access and/or order your copy go to https://www.ascouncil.org/store/asc-building-and-construction-report

According to Bill Allmond, ASC President, “I am excited to provide our members with another valuable tool that provides them with key market intelligence. There continues to be uncertainty but also opportunity for adhesives and sealants in building and construction. This report helps members navigate the trends and outlook, as well as satisfies one element of our ASC 2024 Long Range Plan, which is to ‘Develop accessible resources to promote the value and impact of ASC and the industry’.”

Ducker Carlisle and ASC conducted a dedicated webinar for some of the key report findings on Friday August 2nd., to access the recording simply go to: https://register.gotowebinar.com/recording/5086114731685730395
