W. R. MEADOWS Expands Environmental Product Declaration Portfolio

W. R. MEADOWS has expanded its portfolio of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), adding new product- and plant-specific documentation across its concrete construction and waterproofing lines.

The newly published EPDs cover SIL-CRETE, MED-CURE, LIQUI-HARD, LIQUI-HARD ULTRA, HRM 714, and PRECON. According to the company, the additions bring its total to 65 product- and plant-specific EPDs covering 23 products across air barriers, waterproofing membranes, primers, concrete curing compounds, and concrete densifiers and hardeners.

EPDs are third-party verified documents that communicate environmental impacts across a product’s life cycle using established life cycle assessment methodologies. W. R. MEADOWS stated that the expanded portfolio is intended to provide customers with more transparent and comparable environmental data for material selection and project documentation.

The company developed the EPDs in collaboration with Sustainable Minds, an ISO 14025 program operator, with independent third-party verification performed by the Athena Sustainable Materials Institute.

The products are also included in the Sustainable Minds Transparency Catalog™, where architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals can access environmental transparency documentation for building products.
