Univar Solutions Expands Dow Silicone Additives Distribution in EMEA

Univar Solutions has expanded its strategic partnership with Dow to distribute silicone additives for plastics and composites across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

According to the companies, the agreement extends a long-standing relationship and broadens access to Dow’s silicone additive technologies for manufacturers serving plastics and composite applications. Univar Solutions stated that the expanded arrangement is intended to support customer demand for materials that improve processing, durability, and resource efficiency.

Matthew Oliver, Senior Vice President of Performance Materials for Univar Solutions, said the expansion is a natural next step in the partnership and is intended to help customers address performance and sustainability goals through application-focused silicone technologies.

The companies also said the collaboration combines Dow’s silicone expertise with Univar Solutions’ product management, sales, and technical application support. Univar Solutions noted that its Essen Solution Center will continue to play a role in developing application-driven solutions for the CASE, rubber, and plastics markets across EMEA.

The distribution agreement covers a broad list of EMEA markets, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, and several other countries across the region.
