The Reynolds Company is a Greenville, South Carolina-based manufacturer of water-based, hot melt, and dry-blended adhesives. In addition, they perform customized contract or "toll" blending and manufacture a variety of fire retardant and other specialty coatings. Founded in 1978, by E.H. Reynolds, the Company has grown to employ over one hundred people with sales coverage throughout the entire U.S. as well as Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia. Their products are used in diverse applications and industries including automotive, packaging, nonwovens, manufactured housing, furniture and textiles. Itochi purchased the Reynolds Co. in 2006; however, Reynolds continues to be operated under its family name. September 2014 â€“ The Reynolds Company acquired Chief Adhesives based in Fort Worth, Texas. Reynolds will keep the facility in Fort Worth and will work to continue to expand the facility by adding more capacity and different technological capabilities in both hot melts and water based adhesives. Chief Adhesives fits well into Reynolds strategic plans for further growth well into the future. The Reynolds Company is continuing to seek other acquisition candidates that fit well into our model.
