The third in our four-part Operational and Manufacturing Excellence webinar series will share tips on “Optimizing Supply Chain to Increase the Bottom Line.” The webinar will focus primarily on methods and practices to improve overall supply chain efficiencies impacting performance (i.e., the bottom line) by looking at fully integrated supply chain tools. 
Attendees will hear strategies for optimizing in-house vendor management, achieving quality improvement, and improving lead times to customers. In addition, the webinar will detail how to address vendor sourcing, logistics, transportation/freight, and buyer groups.

SPEAKERS

Bob Kramer
Director, ChemQuest

Bob Kramer joined ChemQuest in 2022, following a 40-year career that brought wide expertise in specialty chemical manufacturing operations. He developed extensive global operational management experience in the polymer converting industry, driving enhanced business productivity and product development across diverse corporate environments. 
 
Most recently, Bob served as president at rose plastic, where he was responsible for overall financials and operations in North America. His leadership in this position led to improved operational performance, stabilized employee turnover and morale despite the pandemic, and the creation of a new ISO 13485-certified medical production facility. Bob holds a BS degree in business administration from Robert Morris University and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. 


Ray Glaser
Vice President, ChemQuest

Through dynamic experience with global companies, Ray Glaser, Ph.D., has developed strong expertise in technical leadership, operations, and business strategy. His specialty lies in identifying value levers and developing strategies to improve profitability and drive growth, employing proprietary analytics combined with technical knowledge and insight to solve complex business problems. 

Prior to joining ChemQuest in 2008, Ray’s industrial career included roles at GE, DSM, AlliedSignal, W. R. Grace, and Hexion Specialty Chemicals. With successful track records in R&D, technical management, new venture development, and mergers and acquisitions, he has also provided business advisory services to numerous companies in specialty chemicals, materials and plastics-related manufacturing, packaging, consumer electronics, and healthcare. Ray holds a BS in chemistry from Marquette University, an MSc in chemistry from The Florida State University, and a doctorate in materials science and engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.
