Description

This webinar will provide a brief overview of Harmonite®, a unique organic/inorganic composite raw material that has found broad use in a wide variety residential and commercial building & construction applications, as well as a number of other general industrial applications. The presentation will focus on these applications, how the product is used, general formulation guidelines and the benefits that are accruing to formulators and end users. In addition, we will share results from a Phase 1 study on the use of Harmonite in butyl sealants for insulated glass units. This study is the fourth in a series of 3rd party certified formulation studies commissioned by the company in the adhesives, sealants, rubber compounding and other industries.

Ken Thomas – RSS & The Dupps Company

In his current role, as the Director of Innovation and Marketing at The Dupps Company, Ken is responsible for corporate marketing and leading targeted strategic growth initiatives. He is also the Commercial Director for RSS, a wholly owned Dupps subsidiary and is responsible for marketing, sales, customer service and personally leading application and market development efforts for Harmonite® powders,

Ken has spent his entire career in industrial manufacturing with more than 20 years at large publicly held firms like Alcoa and Union Carbide, before switching to multi-generational, family-owned manufacturing companies during the past 15 years. Ken has held a wide variety of management, commercial and technical positions in the chemicals, industrial gases, metals, wood flooring and capital process equipment industries. Roles have included strategic planning, marketing, new product development, product management, applications engineering management, technical sales and environmental compliance.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
