Creating high performance packaging hot-melt adhesives (HMA) starts with using low viscosity ethylene olefin copolymer plastomers in the formulation. These polyolefin plastomers (POP) provide several benefits to hot-melt adhesive users including stable melt viscosity, no odor, no char, and no stringing. Combine those advantages with a potential for lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) polymers and you have a real differentiator.

  • Definition of a polyolefin plastomers (POP) based hot-melt adhesive (HMA)
  • The processing benefits of a POP based HMA compared to a traditional HMA
  • The application benefits of a POP based HMA
  • End use cost savings of using a POP based HMA
