Owens Corning Releases New Geotextile Taping Solution

Posted By ASC, Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Owens Corning has announced the release of a new tape intended for use with RhinoMat and RhinoSkin geotextiles. The high-strength adhesive tape is intended for secondary repairs, seam protection, pipe boots and penetration sealing, batten reinforcement on geomembranes. A polymeric-faced tape, GeoLap tape makes use of butyl adhesive backing and is produced in 100-foot rolls.

The backing is covered with a peel-off paper release and the tape maintains a good bond in the moist conditions to which geotextiles are often exposed. It is also able to maintain a stable bond at temperatures ranging from -70° F to 200° F, ensuring that even extreme conditions will not affect the integrity of seam bonds or textile repairs.
