SP Scienceware Releases New Label Adhesive that Tolerates Cyrogenic Storage

Posted By ASC, Thursday, October 6, 2016

When researchers and scientists store samples in cold storage conditions, the last thing they want is for labels to become detached owing to the cold conditions. Bel-Art® – SP Scienceware® Cryogenic Storage Labels have been designed to withstand even the coldest conditions. The labels adhere to a variety of substrates including glass, plastic and cardboard, and can tolerate liquid nitrogen storage temperatures of -80°C  to -196°C. The fully customizable labels can be ordered in a variety of shapes and dispensing formats and can be marked with waterproof marker pens or run through a regular ink jet or laser printer.

Also known as “cryolabels”, the new product range is just one of the more than 5,000 items of scientific and laboratory equipment available from SP Scienceware. It is certain that the company has taken advice from adhesives specialists in order to meet the need for labels that keep their adhesion in such extreme conditions.
