Chemique Adhesives has announced its release of a range of solvent-free adhesives and applicators. The water-based adhesives, ProAqua Mono and ProAqua Office are suited to furniture manufacture as well as other forms of fabrication. Greenguard certification means that the adhesives emit the lowest possible levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and thus contribute to better indoor air quality. The company reports that this can be achieved without compromising bond strength or production-line efficiency.
The new ProAqua range is designed for foam fabrication applications in which foam is bonded to cloth, wood, plastics and metals. ProAqua Mono, for example, is a single-part water-based adhesive that can bond foam to a wide variety of different substrates, providing instant tack with absolutely no bleed-through. To round off the offering, Chemique has developed a patented 8-gun sprayer for applying the adhesives efficiently and easily, boosting production line speeds in the process.
