Aroset PS 5333, a new pressure-sensitive adhesive from Ashland Specialty Ingredients offers a variety of benefits to adhesive tape and label manufacturers. Conventional coating methods can be applied at greater production line speeds, reducing costs. The adhesive is designed to pre-empt increasingly strict environmental legislation, but still offers an attractive range of performance-based properties. These include aggressive tack and peel adhesion across a wide range of substrates including foams and monomeric and polymeric vinyl.
According to Ashland, Aroset PS 5333 demonstrated enhanced ageing performance in testing and maintained good cohesion, even at high temperatures. Additionally, the adhesive has shown excellent wet properties and pigment acceptance on release liners. Applications for which the adhesive is suitable include vinyl graphic and industrial tapes.
