Bostik, a subsidiary of Arkema, began manufacturing its tile adhesive and floor preparation products at its new plant in Dallas this month. The new plant is one of several strategically located facilities to be inaugurated in recent months, following on the opening of new facilities in Brazil, Malaysia and India.
The highly automated plant in Dallas will focus on the production of tiling and floor preparation products using Bostik’s Polymer Modified Binder (PMB) technology which remains an important element in Bostik’s research and development activities. The new Dallas facility includes a training and demonstration area in which clients and other industry partners can learn about and try out the products as well as view the production process.
Since Dallas is seen as a key market for the construction industry, Bostik is confident that the new plant will enable the company to deliver improved technical service, reduce delivery times, and allow for on-site technical service according to their recent press release.
