Fomo Products and Honeywell Commit to Reduction in Emissions, White House Reports

Posted By ASC, Wednesday, October 21, 2015

The White House has released a statement acknowledging private enterprise commitments to emissions reduction.  U.S. companies Fomo and Honeywell have responded to Obama’s call to reduce emissions as part of the Climate Action Plan as follows: Fomo Products, a large producer of low-pressure polyurethane insulation, sealants and adhesives, aims to convert from using HFCs to HFOs in 95% of aerosol products and 25% of low pressure spray polyurethane foam products by the summer of 2016.  Global technology and manufacturing company Honeywell says that it’s Solstice trademarked low-GWP blowing agents will reduce CO2 emissions by 475 million tons by 2025, increasing the predictions announced in 2014 by 36%. Honeywell has also committed to using feedstock HCFC-22 from suppliers who control and strive to eliminate HFC-23 by-product emissions.
