Avery Dennison to Launch New Self-adhesive Labeling Technology for Cans

Posted By ASC, Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Avery Dennison has launched their new AeroDress technology for adhesives labeling on aluminum and tinplate cans.  AeroDress is designed for low-volume production runs with the option of late-stage differentiation and relabeling of obsolete printed cans. It can be implemented through small changes in existing production lines, for example adding hot air equipment to shrink the label and dress the can. Avery's AeroDress technology is compatible with letterpress, flexo, gravure, silk screen, and foil printing techniques. Lead time is short with competitive pricing on applications with 20,000 units or less. AeroDress is part of the Select Solutions Portfolio launched in Europe. Rob Groen, Marketing Manager at Avery Dennison, noted: “Obsolete cans can be relabeled with this technology, without having to compromise on shelf appeal. The benefits also extend much further. Small-scale applications can be completed quickly, and it's great for inventory control and supply chain flexibility.”
