Bostik Earns Accolades from Frost & Sullivan for its Ingenuity in Combining Polyurethane Technology with Silanes to Create Exceptional Adhesives

Frost & Sullivan has recognized Bostik, Inc. with the 2014 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Enabling Technology Leadership for contribution to the automotive direct glazing market. Bostik’s commitment to innovation was highlighted by their silyl modified polymer (SMP)-adhesive technology, which provides superior elongation, torsional strength, temperature resistance and adhesion. SMP adhesives are idea for glazing with glass, frit, and polycarbonate substrates.  They can also be used on metal, paint, carbon fiber and composites in the vehicle body. Frost & Sullivan Principal—Analyst Raghu Tantry—commented, “Bostik's adhesives and sealants under Simson™ and Bostik® brands combine two chemistries: the bonding performance of polyurethanes, and the cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness of silicones.” Frost & Sullivan’s award recognizes the high market acceptance potential of Bostik’s adhesives.
