Mallard Creek Polymers, Inc. (MCP) will be discussing polymer concepts to meet challenging adhesive requirements. They will be showcasing their expanding range of Acrylic Polymer Emulsions at the PSTC Tape Summit. MCP’s adhesives include pressure-sensitive adhesives with their innovative styrene-butadiene emulsion polymers. A central feature of MCP’s business is developing customized product for individual clients. Lower-cost, high-performance formulations are available with their In-Process Modification technology (2007 PSTC) and new developments in tackifier chemistry. Styrene-butadiene chemistry has outstanding shear performance and specific adhesion to difficult substrates. For example, MCP’s Rovene 5044 has demonstrated shear and tack equal to industry standard, high-solids, acrylic adhesives. MCP is currently expanding their line of acrylic polymer emulsions for masking tape production. More information can be found in the MCP Pressure Sensitive Adhesives Product Selection Guide.
