Dow Corning presented innovative and state-of-the-art silicone solutions at the 9th International Photovoltaic Conference and Expo. Dow is committed to improving solar energy production efficiency and the competitiveness of solar energy in the market. Dow Corning PV-5802 Electrically Conductive Adhesive is a high-performance adhesive used for constructing a photovoltaic module’s back connections. PV-5802 can contribute to exceptional performance during lead testing and hail and ice impact testing. Also notable, Dow Corning PV-6212 Cell Encapsulant is an optically clear silicone with excellent resistance to potential induced degradation. PV-6212 Cell Encapsulant offers mechanical, thermal and dialectric protection. These adhesives were used to make the world’s first silicone encapsulated dual-glass photovoltaic module, which was on display at the Photovoltaic Conference and Expo. Potting agents and frame sealing solutions are also available through Dow.
