Updated Site Offers Regulatory News, Training Access, Jobs Board, Newsletter Subscriptions and Event Access
Bethesda, MD – December 13, 2012 – The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) recently revamped itswww.ascouncil.org website to focus on providing information and services to its members that are action oriented and supportive of its member companies.
“The site has completely transformed into an information oriented site where members can find the latest regulatory information, fill positions within their operations, read news from industry, and generally keep up to speed on the changes happening within our sector,” notes Matthew E. Croson, ASC’s President. “What was once predominately an events registration website has now expanded to include information, news and alerts that can be leveraged by ASC members on a regular basis.”
The new site features a number of new tools, including:
VOC Regulation Map – The United States map includes hyperlinks to all of the Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) regulations that impact the industry.
ASC Industry Updates – Information updates that are linked to either “events, news, jobs or advocacy” and that can be subscribed to by members to keep up to date with changes happening in the industry.

Advocacy—Includes Regulatory Affairs issues deemed critical by the Regulatory Affairs Committee. Will include blogs from time to time that came be commented on by members.
“Ascouncil.org will be the place that members want to visit regularly in order to become aware of issues facing the industry, before they are actual issues for a member company,” adds Croson. “In 2013, Council members will see an increase in blogs, information sharing and posting of news, data and trends that we know members will be able to use in their businesses, whether they are simply keeping up to speed, or needing critical information in order to respond to an issue.”
The new site was developed in collaboration with the Council’s Web Advisory Board, which provided input and direction on what members may find of value. WAB members are:
“As they did with the new adhesives.org 2.0 launch in April, the WAB really played a strong role in making sure the site was member focused and highlighted issues that are truly of interest to Council members,” notes Jessica Carter, ASC’s Online Communications Manager. “The new ascouncil.org focuses less on simply promoting events, and much more on offering valuable data and content.”
