Croson, President of ASC. “With the introduction of the On-Demand feature, we can continue to deliver these fundamental of and basics of training programs, while also developing new, live programming as part of our regular Training Academy efforts.”
The ASC Training Academy was created in 2012 as a long-term educational investment by the Council’s Board of Directors to add value to the membership by delivering strong fundamentals of training to industry professionals. The Council set aside $75,000 to develop the courses, and market the program to industry. The investment has already paid off with the Council reaching $108,000 in sales in its first two years, while also receiving some of the highest evaluations for any of the Council’s programs.
Each Training Academy program was developed in collaboration with the Council’s Technical Committee and was delivered by an industry professional, many of which were selected as part of an extensive request for proposal effort.
“ASC is proud of its efforts to train industry professionals on the basics of our industry; it is a core function of our value proposition as we work to ensure our industry has the education and training it needs to solve customers’ challenges creatively and with the right tools in mind,” adds Croson. “And we are pleased that the sessions have scored so highly with 92% of participants indicating they would recommend the training to a colleague.”
Industry can purchase an ASC Training Academy On-Demand Session via its websites at www.ascouncil.org, www.adhesives.org or www.sealants.org. Each session is $199 and available immediately via a link that is sent to the purchaser’s email account. The session includes the complete audio/visual recording of the live webinar broadcast of the Training Academy session. In the future, all Training Academy webinars will be made available following the live event, giving members and industry professionals flexibility with participation. The sessions will be made available for a period of time, but not available when a specific program is being enhanced or adjusted with new programming and content.
