ASC TO HOST SUSTAINABILITY FORUM
Supply Chain to Discuss Trends, Market Drivers, Value Creation, Challenges and Opportunities in Green Chemistry
July 9, 2014 – Bethesda, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) is hosting its second Sustainability Forum which will feature 26 different speakers discussing sustainability from all sides of the supply chain. The Forum – designed to allow multiple viewpoints to be shared on this important topic, will feature five panels: Value Creation, Customer Views, Chemicals Disclosure, CTO Roundtable and Research. Each panel will have up to five speakers and will allow attendees to listen to a diverse array of viewpoints on where sustainability is currently, and where it’s heading.
ASC’s Sustainability Forum will be held July 22-23 at the Hyatt Regency at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD. Register at www.ascouncil.org.
“The Sustainability Forum will be an opportunity for leaders to come and discuss how the trend of sustainability continues to impact the adhesives and sealants sector,” notes Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC. “We already have 73 attendees participating as speakers and attendees, and we expect more to pack the rooms and help guide the future of sustainability as it relates to our industry.”
ASC’s Sustainability Forum will also have two keynote speakers:
Jerry Yudelson, President, The Green Building Initiative with a talk entitled:“Green Rating Systems, Opportunities and Challenges 2014 and Beyond”
“Our keynote speakers will challenge the industry as they discuss the business drivers behind sustainability, but also the very important topic of rating tools which are becoming increasingly popular but controversial,” notes Steve Duren, Senior Director of Member Services at ASC. “Attendees will hear firsthand from leaders who are guiding discussions and working to move the industry towards what they believe is the right direction.”
As noted, 73 attendees are registered for the Sustainability Forum. They will be joined by sponsoring organizations including: Emerald Kalama Chemical, ICIS, Kingspan Industries, Sika Corporation, H.B. Fuller, Dow and the American Chemistry Council. The event will also have exhibitors highlighting their value via table top exhibits, including Emerald Kalama Chemical, Green Chemistry – A U.S. EPA Program, Glue Machinery Corporation and Chemical Compliance Systems.
